Working up to my final piece,
This was made with pencil initially, then i decided it needed to be a lot darker, so i used pen and watercolour to give a softer but more dramatic blend.

illusion art is so difficult, and this one especially was very challenging.

Note to self:
Don't shave your legs immediately before painting them,
you cant hide the scratches!

Leonardo Papers

Leonardo Papers, response to the anatomical drawings of Leonardo da Vinci

Leonardo Papers, 
I wanted my skin to look like aged paper, etched with rough marks of sketches, so I used brown paint for the ink and a fine brush to create thin, sketchy lines. I made use of my black hair by burning the paper into my hairline and off of my painting arm.
