I'd like to see you adapt other photos in this way. Pushing your fragmentation of them even further, until you approach the level of detail you found in your continuous line skull painting.
The blues here blend into each other a little too well, in a follow up piece, you may wish to consider the use of contrasting colours, textures and patterns in the background in order to establish depth and differentiate the subject from the background.
Perhaps you could consider making a mirrored piece that is the exact opposite to this?
