single line eyes in the style of Kristin eyefells

  1. Love this! What thoughts do you have on how to develop this further?

    one thing you could try is to photocopy this and make a rough clean up, just to get an idea of where the eyes, nose and mouth have been placed (no detail just yet) and paint in dark tones with watercolour, while the paper is taped to glass so you get drips (look at the work of Marion Bolognesi for inspiration). It's will be importnat to keep the paper wet so that the tones blend freely into each other. Then while the paper is still damp, work into the drawing with much more tonal and textural detail with your pen that runs when wet. Look for a combination of approaches that sits somewhere between Bolognesi and Eyfells- maybe even some Van Gogh inspired ink line work too...
